Call For Presentations & Ask the Organizer Panelists

Submission Deadline: July 29, 2012 (11:59 pm USA CT)


The 2013 Conference Program Planning Committee welcomes submissions to present at the 25th Annual Conference and Organizing Exposition of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) which will be held April 17 - 20, 2013 in New Orleans, LA at the Sheraton New Orleans.

Professional Organizers and Productivity Experts enhance the lives of their clients by implementing systems and processes, and through transferring organizing and time management skills. Professional Organizers and Productivity Experts also educate the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits.

The primary conference objective is to provide organizers and productivity experts at all experience levels with content-rich programming of the highest caliber. Proposals are sought for:

  • 90-minute concurrent sessions
  • 3-hour "mega-sessions" (presented in two, 90-minute concurrent sessions)
  • Pre-Conference workshops (4 or 8 hour sessions presented the day or two before conference)
  • Ask the Organizer panel as either a panelist or moderator (available to members only)

Please feel free to submit more than one proposal. Below are some suggested categories for your consideration:
  • Action plan development and implementation
  • Assessment
  • Chronic Disorganization and Hoarding
  • Communication skills
  • Ergonomics and Feng Shui
  • "Green" organizing
  • Intellectual property, trademark and copyright issues
  • Learning styles and working with different client and personality types
  • Marketing or sales for Business/Corporate, Small Business or Residential Organizing
  • Organizing skills for Business/Corporate, Small Business or Residential Organizing
  • Specialty niche marketing and organizing skills (such as financial organizing, organizing students, etc.)
  • Personal or professional growth
  • Products and passive income
  • Project management
  • Public speaking
  • Psychology and mental health issues
  • Social media
  • Space design and planning
  • Special needs clients
  • Strategic alliances
  • Time Management
  • Technology for organizers and/or their clients

NAPO has recognized that over the past few years our attendees' core competencies of the industry are continuously elevating. We strive to be able to offer courses that speak to ALL levels of our attendees needs. It is important that we offer a broad mix of "industry basics" however we encourage submissions at the intermediate and advanced levels. This may include new concepts/ideas and/or in depth information on a specialized topic.

All proposals must be received by NAPO
by July 29, 2012 (11:59 PM USA CT)

Notifications:
You will be notified if your proposal is accepted by or before the end of August, 2012.

When submitting a proposal, be sure to copy your user ID and password for your records. An email will be sent to you after you complete the first step to remind you of your ID and password in case you need to log back in to your submission to make edits or complete your proposal. You may come back and edit your submission at any time before the deadline of July 29 - all data is saved when you click "Submit" at the bottom of each page.
